Frictional Heating included Archard's Wear

Purpose: determine the wear by the Archard Wear formula and the heat generated by friction

Video:

1. Geometry

wear_heat_geometry

Description: the lower body (body B) is fixed. The upper body (body A) will move in the form of the sine function. At the same time, a force applied on body A downward. Contact between two bodies is frictional contact

2. Analysis tree: Use ACT to define parameters for Archard Wear and Coupled Field Body

Using 2 ACTs: Coupled Field body and Archard Wear

3. Results

wear_heat_stress    wear_heat_temp
Equivalent Stress (left) and Temperature (right) distribution

wear_heat_thickness    wear_heat_volume
Wear thickness and Wear Volume
