How to Activate or Renew the Ansys Student license

Currently, Ansys Student versions are all integrated with the license when you install the software instead of providing a separate license file.

Here, I will guide you how to renew the license for the Student version you are using.

If you have already installed the previous Student version of the software, you just need to replace the acldata file in the Ansys Student\vxxx\licensingclient folder, in which vxxx is the version you are using (v232, v242...)

If you were previously using an unofficial version, you should uninstall that version (including License Management) and delete the data folder of the old version before reinstalling to ensure the best performance.

To delete old data, follow these steps: Press the key combination Window + R > enter %APPDATA% and delete the Ansys folder.
